Week 11- Breezy Point

Tomorrow I'm going to Breezy Point with some of the other girls from my Girl Scout troop to bring food and help serve lunch to residents/volunteers.

Week 8- Hurricane Sandy

For those of you who don't know I live on Long Island and we were hit pretty bad by the storm. There are lots of downed trees and power lines. And many of the trees are on top of power lines. It's really eerie here at night with most of the area having no power. Lights are few and far between. This afternoon I went for a walk and did capture some of the damage that my community is facing.

Been without power for about 24 hours at this point, so last night I played around with my camera and my flashlight. I wish I could have written words and such, but it was late and it was just me. Here are the results...
